Clam Source

An incredibly unique hand-picked Gold Maxima featuring a warm metallic gold and bronze mantle with a striking purple-blue patch along one section of the mantle. The abrupt change in coloration creates an unusual graft-like appearance that immediately caught our attention when selecting this clam. Very unique in our eyes.
Aquacultured by ORA. WYSIWYG – you will receive the exact clam pictured (1.5"-2").
A Note About Clam Color & Photography
All of our clam photos are taken under Kessil AP9X lighting with white spectrum present to provide a clear and accurate representation of each specimen.
Tridacna clams are highly reflective and iridescent, so their appearance can change significantly depending on lighting spectrum and viewing angle. Clams viewed from above can look noticeably different than when viewed through the front glass of an aquarium.
Please keep in mind that aquariums illuminated primarily with blue light and little or no white spectrum may not reproduce the same colors shown in our photographs.
WYSIWYG means you will receive the exact clam pictured, but its appearance in your aquarium will depend on your lighting and viewing angle.
