GSC Lady Luck Acro #2 (NEW RELEASE)

GSC Lady Luck Acro is one of our latest new releases!

Story behind the GSC Lady Luck Acro:

One may ask, why name it GSC Lady Luck?! Well, lets start off by saying that we feel very lucky to still have this acro in our collection. She has had a long streak of bad luck, which some of you may call negligence after reading this story (and you're not wrong), but lets continue on...From the beginning, we knew this acro was going to be trouble. This coral sat stagnant for over a year before it even started showing any sort of color or growth or potential. In its second year with us, it finally started to actually grow and show some promise!

But, the Reef Gods had other plans...

At some point while growing out in our display tank, it was dislodged and fell deep into our rock work. We estimate it had been in the trenches for about 2 weeks before we actually noticed and dug it out. It was in rough shape, bleached, bruised, and peeling in some areas...but she managed to live on and recover.

But wait, there is more...

After her full recovery, and a few weeks of some new found admiration for this survivor of an Acro, we walk in one morning and oh look, she's no where to be found! Look down...How nice, she's being digested by a chalice! 😒 She had fallen again, but this time directly onto one of our chalices at the bottom of the tank. Half gone, chalice unfazed...Thankfully, she somehow survived and recovered again.

The End...Just Kidding!

Not long after her full recovery, she was back in the display. We made sure to use extra glue to secure her (its not negligence if we use extra glue, okay?!). She was looking good again, great in fact! A few months go by and we are just walking aimlessly around the shop, but something looks off...Crap, the torch that sits higher up in our display has tipped over. Would you look at that! It managed to fall right on top of Lady Luck...what are the chances?! High...the chances are very high! There must be a target on her back. Sure enough, she was destroyed again and in the exact same area where the chalice had done its damage prior...

Once again, she managed to survive and eventually started to actually thrive!! We have been lucky since the last event and Lady Luck has really started to grow and be on our side (pun intended)...we doubt fragging her will even phase her at this point after everything she has been through 🤪
